What you will do
Under specific direction, you will be responsible for selling Johnson Controls service offerings to owners, primarily at the Director level. You will promote the Johnson Controls value proposition to building owners by providing technical solutions and operational expertise. You will build and manage long-term customer relationships/partnerships with targeted and managed accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role includes positioning renewable service agreements as the foundation for managed account relationships, executing the sales process, managing long-term relationships, and seeking, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities. You will obtain and close sales on a monthly basis while expanding the depth and breadth of Johnson Controls offerings within accounts.
How you will do it
With direction from the supervising manager, persuasively and confidently sell Johnson Controls offerings to building owners at the D-level while aiming for optimal profit levels.
Focus on improving existing buildings to help owners achieve their business objectives.
Manage ongoing opportunities with an emphasis on selling services and retrofits.
Sell, renew, and expand renewable service agreements, including multi-year contracts, to both new and existing customers.
Build partnerships with owners or their representatives responsible for decision-making to drive the sale of Johnson Controls service offerings.
Actively listen, probe, and identify concerns, ensuring to understand the customer's business and communicate effectively.
What We Look For
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline.
A minimum of six years of progressive field sales experience.
At least one year of successful experience selling HVAC or building automation system services or projects.
Commitment to integrity and quality in business.
Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to influence account decision-makers at key levels.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70K-$85K annual base salary + target incentive earnings (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account project, quarterly, and annual margin. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
