Position Summary
Since 1953, J. J. Keller has been protecting people and the businesses they run. We are a well-established, privately held organization that is nationally recognized as a leader in safety and compliance. As a Technical Editor with J. J. Keller, you will monitor state and federal regulatory changes and prepare summaries for internal and external customers. The position will also assist our Content team with content-related activities and will include considerable activity in and around the Content Management System (CMS).

Job Responsibilities
- Monitors state and federal bulletins, registers and other sources to identify relevant regulatory activity and prepares summaries for internal and external customers.
- Analyzes, organizes and presents regulatory information to meet various project needs.
- Updates regulations, Federal Register information and other related data in the Content Management System (CMS).
- Updates changes to safety plans, audits, training materials and other information in the CMS.
- Updates and proofs labor law posters.
- Assists other editors with research, proof-reading, CMS-related activities, and other activities as needed.
- Troubleshoots basic CMS- and other system-related issues and provides support to other users.
- Creates and maintains process documentation. Also suggests process improvements based on knowledge of current workflows and processes.
- Suggests new products/services and revisions of existing products/services.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate's Degree in English, Journalism or related field.
- In lieu of Associate's Degree, two years of closely related experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Prior experience as a researcher or technical writer in a deadline-oriented publishing or research environment is a plus.
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Content Management Systems preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to research, analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Ability to plan projects and meet deadlines, working both independently and in a team environment.
- Writing skills.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.

Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $1.00 to $1.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's overall experience and geographic location.
