Position Summary
J. J. Keller is seeking a Order Handler to join our Distribution team! Our Order Handler is responsible for supporting the order fulfillment by accurately picking/packing orders and unloading finished packages off the shipping line within Distribution. This position has the ability to be scheduled 6:30am - 4:30pm four days per week (rotating day off), or if preferred, 8:30am - 4:30pm five days per week.

Job Responsibilities
- Will rotate between the following Shipping Line duties:
- Picks/Packs orders as accurately and productive as possible
- Unloads finished packages off the shipping line
- Picks orders using order picker from heights up to 21 feet - Keeps supervisor informed on operating condition of shipping system.
- Processes necessary requisitions and job tickets.
- Operates Conflex, Pack-all, inserter and inkjet equipment according to established standards.
- Labels and manually inserts mailings as required, as well as processing all daily mail using mail metering equipment according to established standards.
- Sorts incoming mail both manually and using extractor equipment according to established standards.
- Completes weekly office supply fulfillment.
- Picks up and delivers inter-departmental mail both internally and outside the facility.
- Prepares and assembles material for trade shows.
- Processes DCMS, Zero Dollar Orders and CSSR requests according to established standards.
- Works safely around all people and equipment.
- Works in other areas of Distribution as needed.
- Works overtime on short notice and adjusts work hours as needed to accommodate business needs.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 1+ year of order fulfillment experience preferred.
- Experience operating lift truck and other material handling equipment preferred.
- Experience working with warehousing software applications preferred.
Education:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Other Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 60-pound boxes.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to operate lift truck and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to ride up in an order picker to height of 21 feet.
- Manual dexterity skills.
- Basic math skills.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a warehousing (industrial production) environment and may involve exposure to high noise levels, material handling equipment, and other industrial machinery. Work will require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection and steel-toe footwear.
