Position Summary

We currently have a new opportunity for an Associate Director of Consulting, who will lead the strategic, financial, operational, and growth activities of the Environmental, Health, and Safety regulatory compliance practice, achieving customer, financial, and business unit expectations.

As the P&L owner for this practice, this position must operate at a strategic level, focusing on long-term plans and strategic priorities that benefit J. J. Keller and grow the EHS practice by providing leadership on new markets, new services, and achieving operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Establishes all P&L objectives including revenue, operational expenses, sales targets, marketing expenses, and margin targets in line with business unit and corporate business expectations.
- Delivers P&L results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:
- Client satisfaction and retention standards
- Revenue and growth objectives
- Gross margin and contribution margin objectives
- Sales results and collaboration
- Leads, develops and coaches teams and leaders:
- Sets clear and challenging expectations, feedback and recognition
- Manages client and associate relations issues
- Manages and participates in the staff hiring/selection process
- Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports
- Directs the fulfilment of client agreements in a timely manner consistent with client and business expectations.
- Identifies and leads the development of new, and enhances existing J. J. Keller proprietary solution offerings in collaboration with Product Management, Marketing, R&D, Sales, and other stakeholders.
- Directs the sales support function to provide pricing, capabilities, and technical support for the sales team to help close new contracts.
- Establishes effective relationships with sales leadership to deliver sales objectives for practice by sales channel.
- Manages Business Process Improvement initiatives to improve internal processes to support the business.
- Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner and ensure that staff follows these same guidelines.
- Enforces and supports all company policies and procedures. Fully supports the company's commitment to safety and the environment and strive to maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace.
Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of EHS leadership experience and a strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations. Experience leading a remote workforce preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in an EHS safety and/or regulatory role.
- Experience developing strategic growth plans is preferred.
- Experience managing a full P&L is preferred.
- Experience managing a consulting practice is desirable.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in business related field.

Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment.
Travel expectation: 10% via airplane and car to customer sites and/or industry and training events.

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $136,000.00 to $158,940.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's overall experience and geographic location. Note that J. J. Keller is not currently recruiting employees to work in California.
