Koons Arlington Toyota is offering one to two applicants to be part of our technician training program. You will get paid while you learn a trade that can lead to a six figure income. We will provide, at no charge to you, on line training, ASE training, in store training and Toyota Corporate training. You will start with lube tech training. This step pays $16.00 per hour. When you complete the lube tech training and all of the on line courses you will become eligible for our technician helper program. The current pay for this step is $20.00 per hour. The technician helper program is where you work with a main shop technician and you learn how to do more advanced repairs and maintenance. You will get more advanced training modules and also be provided with ASE course training. With each ASE course you pass you will get an additional $1.00 per hour. You can get up to 9 ASE certifications and we pay for the courses as well. Once you complete your training with you lead technician you will be promoted to Technician. Our technicians have to ability to make what they want to make. A six figure income should be expected from a talented motivated professional.

What you will be doing as a Lube Technician if/when you graduate from the Training program:
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership
and factory standards.
Sells lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services.
Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replenishes as necessary.
Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed.
Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not
needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
Road tests vehicles.
Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
Keeps up-to-date with manufacturer technical bulletins.
Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has
happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Keeps shop area neat and clean.
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper
place and in the same condition as when they were received.
Understands, keeps up-to-date with, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as
hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
