Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of the product development process and the role of quality and supply chain in new product launches as well as ongoing production.
• Team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources; experience working with others on a global basis is a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner; effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions.

• Change oriented - knowledge of process improvement tools; confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing objectives.
• Strong communications skills.
• Experience in Statistics is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure quality is prioritized and complete.

Product/Process Nonconformance Continuous Improvement for all supplier related products, processes, and projects. Responsible for Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR's), Supplier Quality Notifications (SQN's) and ensure robust corrective actions have been implemented by suppliers. Issue notifications of product nonconformance to suppliers requesting root cause identification, corrective action definition and improvement action planning. Achieve monthly KPI's such as SCAR closures. Assist suppliers with the development and implementation of statistical sampling plans and inspection procedures.
