Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) Project Manager to lead and drive critical projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in project management methodologies, strategic execution, and technical proficiency in the relevant domain. This role requires the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and ensure successful project delivery in alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution:

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee project scope, budget, and milestones while aligning with business objectives.
  • Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as required to ensure project efficiency.
  • Drive issue resolution and remove roadblocks to ensure project continuity.

Subject Matter Expertise & Strategy:

  • Provide deep domain expertise in the relevant industry, technology, or business function.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align project strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Offer technical and functional guidance to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and process improvements.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:

  • Engage with executive leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications and escalations.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives for project teams.
  • Coordinate with IT, Operations, and other business units to ensure seamless project execution.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Maintain documentation, project governance, and audit trails.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting:

  • Utilize KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to track project success.
  • Drive continuous process improvements through lessons learned and post-mortem reviews.
  • Implement best practices to optimize workflows and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology , or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a senior SME role .
  • Strong background in shop floor systems.

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Expertise in project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum).
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow .
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, ROI analysis, and resource management .
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical data, business intelligence, and strategic insights .

Certifications (Preferred):

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Certification .
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) .
  • ITIL, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certifications (if applicable).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
