How will you make an impact?-

Jabil is seeking a Sr Product Manager that will be based in our Austin, TX office. This position will directly contribute to the transformative growth within the Intelligent Infrastructure division.

The Senior Product Manager works within the technology and architecture organization and is critical to manage our Cloud Server and Networking Product portfolio through the full lifecycle. Product managers collaborate with business leaders, customers, system architects, and the design team to define and manage the direction of our products while ensuring that Jabil continues to provide worldclass systems and solutions.

What will you do? -

  • Responsible for gathering customer Hardware, Firmware, and Software ecosystem requirements.


  • Owns the detailed Product Requirement definition


  • The principal responsibilities are:


  • Collaborates with customers (internal or external) from requirements gathering through production and sustaining.


  • Documents changes to product requirements and plan throughout development.


  • Engaged with business owners to build out target product costs


  • Owns sales-enablement documentation in conjunction with Sales and Engineering for new product launches.


  • Subject-matter expert that can present to individual customers or at industry consortiums
  • Plans end-of-life activities, working with the sales and business teams


  • Communicates product roadmap and portfolio differentiation to customers and technology partners
  • Represents the voice of the customer at the project Core Team
  • Develop relationships directly with customer product teams including hardware and software design, marketing, field services, production test, supply chain and operations
  • Communicates project objectives in terms of overall strategic business objectives
  • Devises creative solutions to critical customer and user needs
  • Roadmap planning for new technology transitions
  • Understands competitive landscape to influence and optimize product cost targets
  • Maintain clear understanding of both the internal and external requirements, e.g. technologies, cost targets, communication channels/tools, supply chain ownership, volumes, timelines, tooling requirements etc.

    How will you get here? -

    Education: Bachelor's Degree required

    Experience:

    • Strong knowledge of server and storage products, system requirements, core platform development process including product management aspects of hardware and firmware.


    • Knowledgeable of data center infrastructure/environments including cloud computing


    • Product management and/or product development experience is required


    • Analytic and decisive decision maker required


    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple ambiguous and complex projects

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to technical product management.


    • Product management and/or product development experience.


    • Knowledge of the customer - product development, organization, and processes.


    • Knowledge of current end-market and market trends - product, technologies, customer requirements, competitors.


    • Experience with product lifecycle management.


    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, sales, and technology partners

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Degree in Business Management, Information Technology or Engineering preferred


    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive communicator


    • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to technical product management
