Job Summary: Manage planning activities for the assigned workcell and mentor Production Planners and Document Coordinators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure 100% on-time delivery.
- Establish build readiness and maintain capacity efficiency.
- Maintain accurate revenue forecasting and material control.
- Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in Jabil's ERP system.
- Reconcile MPS with customer Purchase Orders (PO) weekly.
- Achieve and maintain a 95% MPS accuracy goal.
- Handle production planning, BOM, and document control.
- Analyze material and capacity requirements, communicating constraints.
- Maintain and optimize the workcell's capacity planning model.
- Meet daily with the team to assess and adjust production schedules.
- Keep the latest customer contract on file and understand its terms.
- Lead the creation of Bills of Material (BOMs) and routings.
- Manage End-of-Life (EOL) processes and meetings.
- Oversee Jabil's internal Workcell purge process.
- Adhere to safety and health regulations.
- Follow company security policies.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Reports to Management.
- Not responsible for managing other employees.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree + 5 years of experience, or Master's + 3 years, or PhD without experience.
- APICS certification and supervisory experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of MRP, lead times, and production processes.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, or experience are acceptable.
