SUMMARY
Plan, coordinate, administrates and implement security measures for the physical security of all visitors, employees or customers to the organization's facilities and security of property and assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs and control scheduling and direction of necessary repairs or adjustments to security system.
- Maintain records of repairs and system maintenance. Track all warranties on equipment.
- Assist Security coordinator with new security equipment installations.
- Responsible for the managing and maintenance the access control system and its database.
- Ensure that all security systems are operational, and personnel perform scheduled checks.
- Ensure timely software upgrades and system checks.
- Review logs, videos, and messages for security violations.
- Possesses knowledge in the use of the close circuit television system (CCTV) and how to program presets and macros on the system. Also, must be proficient in the basic operation of the recording system and its use.
- Coordinates, documents, and reports on internal investigations of possible security violations.
- Works with law enforcement and legal representatives in investigations of possible security violations.
- Develop and maintain instructions for operation of security equipment.
- Handle key records and control key usage.
- Update security equipment layouts and placement.
- Supervision and management of the security guard service on proper creation and control of access control credentials.
- Develop and supervision of patrols to monitor the security of the campus and run reports to verify patrols were completed as outlined.
• Operate and manage the fire panel and security systems.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Other security related duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in field of security.
SKILLS
- Advanced PC skills and knowledge of relevant software, competent in MS Office.
- Ability to read and interpret security and procedure documents.
- Strong communication skills for reports and presentations to Security coordinator and above level.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to apply for practical situations.
- Problem-solving skills to handle technical instructions and variables, and to solve problems and deal with a tough situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Active knowledge of the English and Croatian language.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent walking and lifting of equipment up to 15 lbs.
- Close vision and extensive use of computer screens.
