ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned)

• Serve as Transportation expert in region
• Manage carriers and forwarders
• Manage carrier tariffs and coordinate freight quotations
• Handle/Manage Global Logistics /Freight RFQ/RFP with very large number of trade lanes bidders in participation submitting huge data points/sets that requires expeditious crunching and summary report generation for analysis purpose to determine awards; etc
• Work with sites in building and managing routing guides
• Maintain metrics and activity reports
• Work as part of global carrier team
• Drive global and regional carrier productivity and cost reduction programs
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• Any other Logistics related/relevant tasks, scope as and when assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five years plus of significant international and regional logistics experience.
• Demonstrated high performance orientation.
• Strong knowledge of global and in region transportation modes (air, integrator, road and ocean modes) Negotiation experience and capability.
• Strong analytical skills, logistics industry knowledge, negotiating ability, sound judgment and communication skills.
• Proven capability of successful project management.
• Ability to work with organizing data in support of productivity improvement projects.
• Knowledge of distribution activities.
• Team leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Advanced PC skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

An essential requirement is a high level of expertise in using spreadsheet applications, such as Excel, to handle and analyze large datasets. This includes the ability to produce summary reports and conduct thorough analyses within tight deadlines.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluency in English required (Speaking, writing and reading). Fluency in Mandarin (Speaking) is required as need to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such algebra. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited data exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
