This position is critical to ensuring the seamless execution of our production and supply chain planning processes, supporting operational goals, and driving performance excellence. The Planning Supervisor will play a key role in aligning cross-functional teams, leading the planning process, and optimizing resources to meet our production demands with precision and efficiency.

This role is designed for an experienced professional who has a deep and comprehensive understanding of planning functions within a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess advanced analytical skills, sound decision-making abilities, and proven leadership qualities that foster team engagement, growth, and continuous improvement. This is a role with a significant impact on our production planning operations, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate their expertise in ERP systems, MRP loading, demand analysis, and resource planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution : Develop and oversee production plans to meet demand requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and resource availability. Analyze and adjust plans as needed to respond to changing demand or supply chain conditions.
- ERP & MRP Mastery : Utilize advanced knowledge of ERP systems (with a strong emphasis on SAP) to efficiently load MRP, manage inventory levels, and synchronize materials with production schedules. Ensure the MRP process is aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
- Demand Analysis : Conduct detailed demand analysis, identifying trends and patterns to forecast demand accurately. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on demand planning and inventory strategies.
- Decision-Making Under Pressure : Make critical, time-sensitive decisions based on limited information to ensure uninterrupted production and supply chain continuity. The candidate must possess a high degree of confidence and accuracy when making quick decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Team Leadership : Lead and develop a team of planners and support staff, fostering a transformational leadership style that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Planning Supervisor will be responsible for mentoring and guiding team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with internal departments, including Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales, to ensure optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Act as a bridge between different functions to maintain smooth production and distribution processes.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization within the planning function and implement best practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.
Requirements:
- Extensive Planning Experience : At least 6 years of demonstrated experience in planning roles within a manufacturing environment, including roles as a Master Production Scheduler (MPS), Planner, and Assistant Planner. Candidates should possess a proven track record of managing complex planning operations in the electronics manufacturing sector.
- Technical Proficiency : Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, specifically SAP, is required. The candidate should have hands-on experience with SAP transactions relevant to production planning and materials management. Strong understanding of data analytics and reporting tools is also essential.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills : Highly proficient in data analysis with the ability to interpret complex information to make strategic decisions. The Planning Supervisor must be comfortable with numbers and able to handle large datasets to generate actionable insights.
- Exceptional Communication Skills : Fluent in English, with TOEFL or equivalent certification to demonstrate proficiency. The ideal candidate should be able to communicate complex ideas and plans clearly to stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Transformational Leadership : Proven experience in managing and motivating a team, with a transformational leadership approach that promotes employee engagement, empowerment, and professional growth.
- Results-Oriented Mindset : Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work efficiently under tight deadlines, and consistently deliver results that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification : APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
- Advanced Problem-Solving Abilities : Ability to resolve challenges in supply chain and production planning by applying strategic thinking and creative solutions.
