SUMMARY
Drive continuous improvement through process development, root cause analysis and systematic problem solving. Ensure factory equipment and tooling is adequately maintained to ensure safety and availability is maximized. Support the design and manufacture of jigs, fixtures, and fittings. Replace, repair, or dispose of any defective equipment or tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Support the preventative maintenance strategy for the business ensuring downtime is minimized.
• Report machine effectiveness to ensure a high level of output. Support the installation of new equipment.
• Create and maintain wave and reflow soldering profiles.
• Design and / or procure production tooling, including stencils, vacuum plates, wave solder pallets and product-specific fixtures and jigs.
• Coordinate line reconfigurations and machine move activities, including equipment arrival, positioning and installation, and scheduling of support groups (Machine Support, Facilities, MIS, etc.) using the approved communication process.
• Verify that machine maintenance is performed as scheduled on assigned line(s).
• Ensure the company quality management system (Q-Pulse) is kept up to date with all planned and executed maintenance activities. Ensure all paperwork is completed and SOPs produced.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Monitor production machines and take appropriate action to ensure breakdown problems are minimized.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree preferred; and one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
