SUMMARY OF POSITION
Jabil is seeking an energetic legal intern specializing in trade compliance to work on-site at our beautiful new headquarters building in St. Petersburg, FL. In this position, you will gain hands on experience in ensuring that goods and technology cross borders in full compliance with local and international laws and regulations. This role will primarily support the Trade Legal team on issues such as import/export, sanctions, export controls, and compliance with other legal issues as they pertain to international trade. Research into emerging sustainability regulations may also be included.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports into corporate legal compliance department, providing legal support to the in-house trade and social compliance legal team, including interpreting, drafting, and reviewing various agreements and documents.
- Research legal issues and produce memos, presentations, and other written documentation as needed.
- Attend internal business calls and meetings relating to legal issues and negotiations.
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be available to work in St. Petersburg, Florida between May 19,2025 - August 8, 2025
- GPA Requirement: 3.0
- Education: Senior, Last Year Master's, or a 2L/3L pursuing a degree in Trade Compliance or Export/Import Control.
