Job Summary

The Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) Leader is responsible for overseeing multiple functions of threat detection and intelligence, Forensics, investigations, and strategies of the Cyber Security Operations Center. This includes leading a team of security analysts, forensic engineers, investigation processes, coordinating incident response activities, and ensuring that all security measures are effectively protecting the organization's assets. The CSOC Manager will work closely with other IT and security teams to develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to respond to security incidents in a calm and efficient manner. Additionally, the scope of this role includes threat detection and investigations to proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of security analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the monitoring and analysis of security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate and manage incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the protection of the organization's assets.
  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams to ensure the integration of security measures into all aspects of the organization's operations.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential weaknesses and recommend improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on security incidents, trends, and the overall effectiveness of the CSOC.
  • Provide training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
  • Manage the CSOC budget and allocate resources effectively to meet organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Lead threat detection and investigation efforts, utilizing advanced security tools and techniques to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Implement proactive threat hunting activities to uncover hidden threats and vulnerabilities within the organization's network and systems.
  • Develop and maintain threat intelligence capabilities to stay informed about emerging threats and adversary tactics.
  • Financial Management / Cost Center Management; forecasting of costs and management of IT financials for your IT cost center including variance analysis. Management of Assets, Capital Costs, Prepare ROI related documentation and Business Cases. Prepare and Analyze financial data and results. Create action plans as needed
  • Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals
  • Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems.
  • Coaching and Mentoring of staff
  • Interface with global staff and key customers in Legal departments and other groups across Jabil

Job Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and incident response methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
  • Experience in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to cybersecurity.
  • Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Proven experience in threat detection, threat hunting, and conducting security investigations.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and methodologies for analyzing and responding to emerging threats.
  • Proven success in Project Management of global related projects


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree required. Preferred degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
• Minimum of 8 or more years work-related experience required in Jabil IT position or equivalent external work experience, including at least 5 years experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
