Invoice Cloud is looking for a dynamic product marketing leader with a passion for storytelling to thrive at the intersection of product, sales, partner channel, and marketing. The head of product marketing will own the go-to-market strategy, positioning and messaging, and competitive intelligence, as well as possess the leadership skills to drive our strategies to market. We are looking for someone who will be energetic and hands on, developing deep expertise on our market, ideal customer profile (ICP), and buying committee and journey and then activating this knowledge through internal teams to drive successful business outcomes. The right candidate possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, is data-driven and a creative problem solver, and can readily demonstrate their ability to build influence and challenge the status quo to deliver a unique and defensible go-to-market strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Own go-to-market strategy and develop processes to maintain ongoing alignment with key stakeholders across go-to-market and product teams
- Size and define market segments and understand how competitive dynamics should impact targeting, positioning, pricing, and packaging
- Gather and disseminate market intelligence—this role serves as the internal expert on the market and competitive landscape
- Develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with key buyers and differentiates our products in the market
- Build a strategic messaging framework that serves as the backbone for all content on the web site, in white papers, webinars, at events, in social media and in all go-to-market campaigns, etc.
- Communicate the value proposition of our products to sales, marketing, alliance managers and CSMs and develop sales enablement and collateral that support the sales process
- Share market insights and client feedback with the product team to help hone our product priorities and roadmap
- Own the go-to-market launch of new offerings —plan the launch of new products and releases and work with product management to manage the cross-functional launch plan
- Help manage the content strategy and ensure that content maps to the buyer’s journey
- Work in partnership with Customer Acquisition and Customer Marketing teams to support demand generation and customer retention/expansion activities and goals
- Partner with communications team to tell a story to the press, analysts, partners, customers and prospects that demonstrates our unique value and right to win
- Define product KPIs that will measure the effectiveness of go-to-market initiatives and
- identify gaps. Partner with internal teams to gather and analyze relevant data.
- Serve as the leader of a high-performing, highly engaged team of passionate product marketers
What We Seek:
- 10+ years product marketing experience, focusing on B2B SaaS
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand and articulate the context, outcomes, impact of the analysis to a diverse audience from executives to front-line teams
- Proven ability to intimately understand the customer journey and the experiences that lead to engagement and conversion
- Superior writing and communication skills and the ability to apply them to tell a clear and compelling story about a complex technology
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects at once, with multiple stakeholders
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and facilitation skills with the ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams, customers, and senior leadership
- BA/BS required
