The Solutions Engineering team at InvoiceCloud works with Customers, Technology Partners, and our Product development teams to design and deliver new integrations to market. These integrations enable our Sales and Operations teams to leverage cloud-native, repeatable integrations in a highly scalable, reliable, and secure manner.  

With its market-leading solutions, partnership model and vertical focus, InvoiceCloud is scaling rapidly with an annual organic growth rate of approximately 40% plus further growth from acquisitions. Within a few years, InvoiceCloud expects to process hundreds of millions of transactions annually. To realize this journey and future growth, we are looking for a Director of Solutions Engineering with the knowledge and experience necessary to drive new integration delivery for our industry-leading SaaS products. InvoiceCloud’s experience and excellence in integration design and technology are key to enabling growth and expanding our addressable market.  We are seeking a primary subject matter expert and leader around integration architecture, engineering, and operational support. The ideal individual has extensive experience integrating cloud-native applications with cloud, premise, and hybrid environments to increase addressable market in a cost-effective way.

This role reports to the Vice President of Implementations and will work closely with technology and sales senior leadership group (CTO, VP Software Engineering, VP Sales, VP Alliances). This hands-on leadership role will assist in formulating technology strategies and roadmaps, build and grow high-performance engineering teams, and will be directly responsible for overall design, planning, and execution of our Integration Architecture functions.  

The Director of Solutions Engineering will have a broad set of responsibilities including the following: 

First 90 days 

• Develop an understanding of the current business model, major initiatives and key stakeholders. 
• Develop an understanding of the current cloud infrastructure, processes, and tools in use. 
• Become familiar with key systems design, hosting and operational processes.  
• Become familiar with our platform integration points, methodologies, and practices. 
• Evaluate tools and process used in integration discovery and design to drive continuous improvement and best practices 

Ongoing  

• Lead and grow a lean team focused on delivery and health of our Integration Portfolio 
• Take a hands-on approach to coach and mentor the team; demonstrate full ownership and accountability for team’s initiatives. 
• Recruit strong engineering and supporting talent and participate in the full recruiting process including attracting and closing on high talent candidates.  
• Take ownership to refine the current integration strategy that includes content, marketing, project management.  
• Partner with senior leadership to coordinate major integration project releases across the value chain 
• Set technical vision and direction for the team. Ensure the team understands company’s vision and that they are inspired and motivated to help realize it. 
• Build trusting relationships and collaborate across all internal teams and key business partners to execute on company strategy. 
• Encourage a highly communicative culture that ensures open, transparent, and consistent exchange with key stakeholders.  
• Develop, recommend, and distribute operational processes and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery of cloud services. 

Who We Seek 

• 10+ years of engineering or technical services experience and proven track record in implementing cloud solutions for customers.  
• 3+ years of proven success as engineering leader. 
• 5+ years of experience integrating services in a public cloud, including real world experience with at least one public cloud provider.  
• Deep technical understanding of key cloud integration technologies like webservices: REST, SOAPXML, ETL, Identity management and security SAML, Oauth. 
• Experience across many infrastructure domains (compute, storage, networking, monitoring, end user computing etc.). 
• Solid technical background preferably within financial systems (banking, lending, payments), supporting enterprise software development in areas including but not limited to transactional databases and caching systems, public and internal APIs, web applications and integration frameworks. 
• Deep understanding of the infrastructure and software security best practices. 
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with customers, vendors, and other engineering teams, solving complex system problems together.
