Job Description

Primary Function of the Position

The RMA Logistics Coordinator is responsible for processing Service return materials (RMAs) and coordination of domestic and international Service-related shipments. This position will actively monitor and expedite the movement of materials through the Service Logistics processes.

Essential Job Duties

This position will fulfill the following roles:

  • Process, disposition, and track related returns
    • Receive all field returns
    • Process specific returns requiring sterilization to ensure safe handling
    • Process all items returned from repair service providers into appropriate inventory locations
    • Ship and receive repairable items to and from external service providers
    • Expedite excess returns for priority release to Service Inventory
  • Manage discrepant returns to enable RMA processing
  • Control return material storage within RMA Receiving area
  • Identify and communicate gaps in RMA process
  • Process shipments in a timely manner according to service level requirements
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Department Operating Procedures (DOPs), and work instructions
  • Perform other projects or duties that may be assigned
  • Assist Material Handlers as needed to drive productivity and accuracy
  • Comply with general Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and Warehouse housekeeping processes
  • Maintain warehouse safety and housekeeping in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Achieve all warehouse-related tasks certifications
  • Communicate verbally and via email the status of material movements and transactions to appropriate internal and external customers
  • Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement program, including the creation and implementation of small-scale improvements

 

 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience at Intuitive, or relevant external experience of 2 - 4 years
  • Experience and/or certification in operating material-handling equipment
  • Ability to adhere to attendance, safety, quality, and performance guidelines
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Understanding of ERP Business Information Systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Agile)
  • Ability to identify opportunities and obstacles and take appropriate necessary action to address.
  • Demonstrates the composure required to perform effectively under stressful situations.
  • Possess strong problem solving and decision making skills.            
  • Embrace change, be effective in the face of ambiguity, and modify behavior when appropriate to achieve organizational objectives.
  • The ability to assess risk and willingness to take calculated risks to achieve goals

Required Education and Training

  • Possess high school degree/ Secondary Education or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Kanban systems and other lean principles.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift material up to 35 lbs.
  • Load & unload trucks as needed via forklift or pallet jacks.
  • Wrap, weigh & prepare shipments on skids/pallets.
  • Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders) is required.

  • Must continuously exhibit and showcase CCEE (Character, Capacity, Energy, and Experience)
  • Excellent verbal, written skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively
  • Knowledge of Service Operations and/or Reverse Logistics
