Job Description

Primary Function of Position

As Director International Tax Operations, you will be accountable for managing and overseeing all aspects of international tax compliance, transfer pricing operations and documentation, international tax modeling, as well as helping international tax provision and tax planning.  You will report to the Vice President of Tax Operations.

Essential Job Duties

  • Managing and overseeing international tax and global transfer pricing compliance, including the preparation and review of tax returns, transfer pricing documentation, and country-by-country reporting.
  • Managing global transfer pricing operations and intercompany cross-charges.  Leading with technical expertise in designing, planning, and implementing global transfer pricing strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with international tax laws and regulations, including transfer pricing rules, controlled foreign corporation (CFC) regulations, and foreign tax credit rules.
  • Managing international tax provision and modeling for financial reporting and tax planning purposes.
  • Monitoring changes in international tax laws and regulations and assessing their impact on the company's international tax positions.
  • Help global transfer pricing and international tax audits.
  • Developing and leading the International Tax Operations team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of tax experience in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department.
  • International tax and transfer pricing experience with in-depth knowledge of US International tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience in foreign tax provision and financial reporting related to international tax matters.
  • Experience in transfer pricing operations and documentation.
  • Proven tax research and tax modeling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Detail oriented and highly methodical. Capable of drilling down into the details and performing complex quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • Team player and willingness to collaborate.
  • This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week.

Required Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related field

  • Master's degree in Taxation is a plus
