Overview
Intersection is the managing partner of CityBridge, which has the franchise contract with NYC for the LinkNYC project. This “smart” city kiosk provides various services that include WiFi, emergency services, city messaging and advertising. Intersection is searching for a Digital Field Technical Support Specialist to help support the maintenance of these kiosks in NYC.

Monday to Friday, 8PM-4:30AM

Responsibilities

  • Assist Digital Field Technician(s) with loading and unloading vehicles
  • Perform in-field replacements of failed consumable parts; i.e. USB boards, Intake Grills
  • Perform in-field power cycling for down kiosks
  • Deliver inventory replenishment on-site and between vendors
  • Assemble LinkNYC components in-house to support repair activities
  • Perform in-house refurbishment of failed LinkNYC components to support replacement of components for the repair operation
  • Provision LinkNYC components in-house with required firmware, software and operating systems
  • Perform in-house testing LinkNYC components to identify cause of failures and current capacity of the component

Skills

  • Comfortability and familiarity with electro-mechanical components
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools, may require use of specialized tools
  • Follow documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and proper functioning of parts
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to lift and sustain 50 lbs. overhead for a short period of time
  • A self-starter requiring little supervision is preferred

Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully verification of social security number, passing a drug test at a certified testing facility and you must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Hourly Range: $19.25/hr
