The Role:
This position presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, high-energy, and results-driven PR and Communications marketer. Reporting to the VP, Marketing, this role will play a pivotal role in driving Interos' corporate and executive thought leadership. By designing and executing strategic thought leadership plans aligned with our global strategy, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Insights team, Operational Resilience Consultants, and Applied AI team to craft data-forward stories for proactive pitching to journalists, respond to inbounds and assist in rolling out a thought-leadership program championing executives and industry spokespeople. The role will also assist in internal communications and writing blog posts, landing pages and marketing emails as needed.

Essential Functions/duties:

  • Media Relations Strategy: Support the development and execution of a proactive media relations agenda that aligns with our mission and customer needs.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to the creation of a variety of external communications, including press releases, messaging documents, blogs, and social media posts.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, conference organizers, and industry influencers to position Interos as a trusted authority.
  • Campaign Management: Assist in launching and tracking integrated media relations and PR plans, maintaining an editorial calendar, and reporting on progress against goals.
  • Digital Strategy: Help advise and execute on digital strategies across platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram as well as employee and influencer strategy to amplify our messaging.
  • Reputation Management: Support initiatives to enhance our corporate reputation and engage with the public, media, and community members.
  • Crisis Communication: Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to the crisis communication framework and assist in responses when necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure alignment on external initiatives and messaging across departments.
  • Best Practices: Stay updated on communication best practices to inspire innovative ideas and approaches.

Strategic Vision:

  • Collaborate with the VP Marketing, Insights and OCEO Programs to contribute to the development of external communication objectives.
  • Ensure consistent application of brand narrative and messaging across all outreach efforts.

Execution Excellence:

  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement programs, establishing relationships with media and influencers.
  • Represent Interos at external events and assist in media interactions as needed.
  • Provide support to leadership on ongoing business issues, including drafting briefings and talking points.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in external communications, media relations/PR, and digital strategy within a technology environment.
  • Strong relationships with key media outlets and experience in driving effective PR initiatives.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement on a global scale.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.
  • Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role. Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
  • Compensation range is base salary of $96,000-$160,000. The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
