Location:  Charlotte, NC / Palo Alto, CA

Intapp is looking for a highly motivated team player ready to play a key role of Data Steward within the Analytics team. This role will progress as the company continues to advance as a data-driven organization. Initially, the individual will help design and implement the future state of data and analytics products. Then, the individual will partner with various cross-functional teams to help institute company-wide data governance standards.

What You’ll do

  • Collaborate with business partners and vendors to gain source system data knowledge, understand business problems, and translate that information into data collection initiatives
  • Gather and document requirements, test and validates results to those requirements
  • Partner with our Data Engineering team to design and build new and existing integrations in the Intapp data lake and data warehouse
  • Participate in data exercises including profiling, mapping, modeling, securing, cataloging, defining, and tracing lineage, etc.
  • Become a subject matter expert and help identify and resolve data quality issues and drive data literacy
  • Recommend and manage alerts and controls for improved data quality and monitor and track data quality and compliance to data standards/policies
  • Assist in driving cultural change for data management and governance functions by implementing cross-team strategies, policies, and standards
  • Facilitate governance discussions, provide guidance and best practices, document agreed upon data policies and standards, and enforce activities and behaviors to achieve adoption
  • Act as a backup to the scrum master

  • 5+ years experience as data steward
  • Strong business acumen with experience across domains (preferably within a software organization)
  • Proven experience increasing the accuracy and quality of data
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with modern data governance solutions
  • Strong technical skills, including SQL; Tableau experience is a plus
  • Experience working with data warehouses and/or data lakes (AWS experience is a plus)
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Experience working in a scrum environment a plus
