Infosys is seeking a Windows/VMWare Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Infrastructure Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.

Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experienced with:
• Windows Server Administration with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting skills on Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019,2022

• VMware Virtualizations implementation, management and troubleshooting skills
• Datacenter management skills with remote support coordinating with local DC support
• Installing and configuring in a Windows server working with network protocols and services including Windows Server 2008/12, TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS
• Installation, configuration, and administration of components in a large VMware environment centered around best practices, to include vCenter, VMware Update Manager, vCenter Operations Manager
• Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.
• Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
• Using PowerShell commands and Scripts for Server Administration.
• Cisco UCS implementation, Cisco TAC coordination, and Cisco Workload Optimizations Management (CWOM)
• Nutanix implementation, vendor coordination, troubleshooting skills, Environment management
• Tanium Administration will be added advantage.
• Virtualization capacity planning, performance analysis, monitoring, reporting
• Supporting and Troubleshooting medium to large scale, multi-site, enterprise level VMware environments
• Virtual Machine template design and leveraging vCenter Operations Manager to right size, virtual servers.
• Server consolidation/virtualization for HW reduction and site migrations via V2V and P2V.
• Upgrading ESXi hosts and VM guests using VMware Update Manager.
• Installing/Provisioning Virtual Machines
• Providing support to VMWare Horizon
• Working with various levels of technical individuals at remote locations and vendors to resolve problems or in implementing new solutions.
• Using a ticket management system for work prioritization and daily workload management.
• Support Managed Services team on client calls as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven work experience as a Windows Administrator is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, problem-solving skills
• Environment Management
• Working knowledge in VMware ESXi 6.x\7.x, vCenter 6.x\7.x\8.x
• Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation
• Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills
• Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
• Exceptional Organizational Skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
• Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
