Short Description:

In the role of a Siebel Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, support, and administration of a Siebel CRM system. You are required to manage the system's configuration, user access, data access, and performance, ensuring the system runs smoothly and meets business requirement.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Design, Support and Maintain Siebel CRM systems
  • Work with clients and stakeholders to understand their business requirements, resolving issues, and answering questions related to Siebel Systems.
  • Maintain and update existing applications as required
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Server/System issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Maintaining documentation of system configurations, environment diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Working with other technical teams (e.g., network engineers, database administrators) to ensure system connectivity and integration.
  • Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the Siebel system and data.
  • Managing data backups, restores, and data migration.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup, and high availability strategies
  • Ensure compliance with change management and company IT policies
Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Should have 6+ years of Siebel CRM System Support and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Siebel Architecture and Server Management
  • Siebel server installation & configuration, Patch management, version upgrades to the Siebel system to maintain its stability and security.
  • Should have experience in Siebel IP17 or above
  • Proficient in Setting up Siebel tools, Mobile/dedicated client, Incremental/Full RR migration
  • Familiarity with Windows/Linux system administration
  • Resolving all ad-hoc issues, if the issue is not related to Siebel, then assign it to correct workgroup.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues within the Siebel environment.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimizing the system's performance for efficiency and speed.
  • Monitoring system health, performance, and availability to ensure smooth operation and identify potential issues.
  • Automation of daily migration/monitoring activities by writing shell scripts or batch jobs
  • Siebel EIM Loads Archival Process/ Data Cleansing and/or Migration Scripts
  • Setting up email profiles. Configuring and managing communication management component group
  • Configuring & managing Workflow Management component group. Create WF monitor agents as per requirement.
  • Integrating other applications with Siebel. Mainly OBIEE/BIP/Web Methods. This includes configuring symbolic URLs, WSDL imports/exports etc.
  • Knowledge on SSO/LDAP authentication
  • Supporting Production environment which includes
  • Maintaining high application availability
  • Planning and co-coordination of production release.
  • Daily health checks which include regularly checking status of servers & components. Checking status of JOBs/RCRs/ Tasks. Server resource monitoring (CPU/Memory/Disk space)
  • Performance tuning
  • Supporting all planned & unplanned outages
  • Supporting Non-Prod Environments which includes
  • Setting up tools/mobile client for developers
  • Extracting local databases for developers
  • Migrating SRF/Repository from Development to Test environment
  • Deploying non repository items
  • Supporting performance testing in Test (QA) environment
  • Supporting all planned & unplanned outages
  • Experience with Oracle database and SQL query execution for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Opening SR with oracle in case of critical issues
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Preferable to have Telcom Domain Knowledge and CRM order Management Experience
  • Experience in creating infrastructure roadmaps and building architecture capabilities for hybrid cloud platforms
Preferred :
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with developers, architects and Interface system teams.
  • Well organized and able to do multi-tasking, problem solving, troubleshooting techniques and strategic thinking.
  • Capability to work with people in different time zones & different Locations.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks, and keep abreast of the latest technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong & effective customer relationships.
  • Solid knowledge of the IT Service Management framework, practices, and process experience in Information Technology.
  • Service Delivery tasks like, reporting, customer relationship, SLA management etc.

  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
  • Azure, OCI and GCP Cloud Architect concepts
