Technology Lead - Python Development

Infosys is seeking a Senior Python Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications :

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario / Calgary, Alberta or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

  • Develop and maintain Python-based web applications
  • Should have Worked in all phases of the Software development life cycle (SDLC) starting from requirement gathering, designing functional document to implementation, delivery, test planning, execution, and production support.
  • Knowledge on Agile Methodology (scrum process), and understanding of all key scrum ceremonies like story grooming, etc.
  • Ensure Sprint dedication and release goals are met, understand program/ project objectives, and meet the release goals. Metrics to be met as per agreed SLA for the team.
  • Own the team on technical guidance, mentoring as needed.
  • Coordinate with offshore team, client team and take end to end responsibility of project delivery.
  • Customer management, weekly reports/ governance, and cadence with ITPMs, Architects as needed.
  • Experience using Databricks
  • Experience with testing or data accuracy/quality designs.
  • Strong SQL skills and background in ETL.
  • Familiar with developing distributed data pipelines using Apache Spark
  • Ability to be a part of a diverse team/ multiple stakeholder environment.
  • Good knowledge in Angular or React or Javascript.
  • Experience in REST, Microservices, , XML, XSLT.
  • Experience with cloud-based platform.
  • Experience using continuous deployment / continuous integration (CI / CD) technology.
  • Analytical skills to identify root cause and come up with solutions/alternatives.
  • Working in an agile environment- with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs.

Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
Ontario: $ 89004 to $ 115491
