Technology Analyst - Azure Data Engineer

Infosys is seeking a Azure Data Engineer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Vancouver, BC or Mississauga, Brampton, ON or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines on Azure using services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data
  • Warehouse, Azure Analysis Services or any of the Azure Databricks/Synapse/Fabric.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data platforms - with multi layered approach, Design/Architecture setup is needed.
  • At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting performance issues, identifying root cause and applying fixes.
  • At least 3 years of experience in SQL.
  • Ability to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects, leveraging tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to collaborate with data scientists and analysts to facilitate the availability of clean, structured data for analytical purposes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Hands-on experience in programming language such as Python/Pyspark/Scala
  • Experience in working in Agile teams and working independently with Business stakeholders providing solutions and regular updates.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and ETL tools such as Erwin, Talend, DataStage.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead large complex projects with limited direction.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs.

Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
British Columbia : $ 75000 to $ 93454
