Principal Responsibilities
  • Provide technical pre-sales support in articulating infrastructure design with in-depth product knowledge on any of given technology i.e. Data Centre, Collaboration, Network and Security solution
  • Drive solution sales by understanding clients' technical needs, translating identified needs into solutions
  • Pre-sales skill development on technologies of OEM which are identified such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Dell/EMC, HPE, VMware, F5 DNS and/or LTM.
  • Proposal Preparation
  • RFQ/ RFP Tender Presales support in shared centre environment - Ensure timely response to all the qualified RFP's and tenders from solution perspective to ensure bid submission.
  • Communicate with internal or external stakeholders for requirement gathering using phone or collaboration tools
  • Listen and lead the discussion with client for discovery of needs and information gathering.
  • Documentation of needs/requirement into solutions, validating with client and close off with a proposal also translating client business needs into technical solution.
  • Craft initial bill of material / configuration for complex solution. Identify the suitable model to be proposed based on capacity & sizing features and client IT environment needs.
  • Understand client current infrastructure environment and propose relevant solutions and technical services scope of work that are required for end to end implementation.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead complex solutioning. Work with client, Principals & vendors for support and internal team and responsible for end to end integration and design.
  • Estimate man days effort and craft project implementation work breakdown structure, PM man-days sizing and timelines.
  • Drawing of network diagram in Visio and prepare Power point presentation, in a structured manner translating business requirements into technical design.
    • Adherence to Pre-sales process and collaboration tools to communicate and deliver results.
    • Able to perform self-research on new products within the supported OEMs in response to every changing landscape of solution offering.
    Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science or Computer Engineering
  • Years of experience:
  • Combined 4-5 years of presales, implementation, Design, and project management experience.
  • Possess excellent technical sales and communications skills.
  • Have passion in new technologies and self-motivated learning.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft excel to consolidate complex bill of materials, design synchronization and P&L Management.
  • Working experience on RFQ/RFP tender proposal & Excellent skill in End2end Solution design and heterogeneous system integration.
  • Minimum any one of the said deep skills in the following technology towers (Networking, Data Centre, Security or Collaboration), will relevant Professional Certification such as:
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is required.
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is good to have.
    • Nice to have on any of the below certification
    • Certified in any Gartner's leader solution in Networking, Data Centre Storage, Server, and Backup Solution in both traditional infrastructure and hyper converge environment
    • Certified in any Gartner's leader solution in Security solution
    • Certified in any Gartner's leader solution in Collaboration solution such as Cisco and Avaya.
