Your role
In the role of Senior Consultant, the candidate should be able to

  • Interface with key stakeholders and apply his/her technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design.
  • Play a critical role in creating the high level design artifacts.
  • Deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty.
  • Be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
  • Be able to co-ordinate with the teams to achieve the right outcome.

Required Experience
  • Strong working knowledge in Taifun Billing System and B2B billing in Telecom Domain.
  • Billing Domain knowledge is must- Post-paid Billing, CDR flow , Rating Flow, bill generation, payments & Collections processing and journaling etc.
  • Good Knowledge of Taifun configuration
  • Good Knowledge of operational tasks in Taifun Billing
  • Strong experience in software/systems design and development work
  • Service Management Experience in IT Telco Operations environment
  • Knowledge of other Billing Applications like Kenan, Prepaid systems will be added benefit.
  • Hands on UNIX and familiarity with PL-SQL, Oracle Databases and Web Servers.
Responsibilities
  • Incident & Service Request Handling
  • Coordination with Different teams and Vendors
  • Working for international customers in cross-cultural teams is substantial in infrastructure & application services.
  • Resolve all queries and issues escalated by the Business within SLA timeframes to ensure minimum customer impact.
  • Ensuring all revenue streams are running correctly and any missing and errored out data is reprocessed in a timely manner to minimize any negative effects on NPS scores.
  • Operate with the Service Managers to ensure speedy resolution of incidents/problems and provide required detail for accuracy of reporting and post incident review.
  • Should be able to put appropriate monitoring and alerting capabilities in place for proactive systems management.
  • Performing problem management to permanently fix the issue
  • Systems and proactive preventative maintenance such as system reboots
Required Skills
  • At least 8 years of IT experience, must have strong working experience in Telecom Billing Domain.
  • Good knowledge of different application architecture, Remedy or Other Ticketing Tool, Monitoring tools
  • Good knowledge in B2B billing, Data Model in Taifun and Functionality (Account Management, rating, discounting, bill generation, payments & Collections processing and journaling)
  • PL/SQL, Oracle (scripting knowledge in Procedures, Packages, Collections). Shell scripting
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of other scripting languages like Perl, Python will be added benefit.
