Infosys is seeking a Test Lead (SDET)

As a Technical Test Lead/ Senior 'Software Engineer' in Test (SDET) role is a core member of the software development team and participates in the complete development lifecycle process. Develops, implements, and sustains test automation scripts (for both UI and API using Selenium and Postman respectively), processes, practices, and controls in support of customer facing T-Mobile digital applications including web and mobile app throughout the development and sustainment lifecycles. SDET resources must be able to create high quality, maintainable, and performant code for automated test cases and the frameworks to execute and report them.

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • Location for this position is Hartford, CT. This position may require no travel. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT or be willing to relocate to the area.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Full SDLC lifecycle experience and 6+ years of experience developing end-to-end testing frameworks for web, mobile, and web services
  • 4 years of experience in Telecom Domain
  • Very good understanding of Mobile Testing (iOS and Android) applications and relevant tools & technology for Mobile Automation (Appium, SWIFT, Sauce Labs, etc.)
  • Strong programming exp - Java, Maven, NodeJS (Javascript, Typescript), Selenium
  • Hands on automation scripting experience using Selenium, TestNG, Rest Assured,Rest Assured, Postman, Cucumber, Jasmin etc.
  • Strong software testing exp and exposure to QE concepts across test planning, scripting and execution
  • Agile development mindset and approach with an experience using Jira and scrum methodology is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Reporting Skills

  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment and with team in USA, Canada and India
  • Team Handing experience for minimum of ~8+ people
  • Team Mentoring and grooming
  • Working experience with Business Teams / End Users
Nice to have
  • Closely coordinates with both Dev and Ops regarding testing practices and ensuring quality thresholds are met.
  • Participate in user story grooming, understand requirements, identifying if there are any gaps.
  • Understanding test cases written by UAT resources to identify the scenario's to automate.
  • Ensures automated tests are integrated into the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
  • Feed the automation scripts to regression suite by mapping them with UAT regression suite for page level and E2E level
  • Grows and maintains technical skills and expertise through continuing education and training
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
