Infosys Public Services is seeking a Technical Test Lead to join our team.
Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
- Infosys Public Services is looking for an experienced Technical Test Lead with a background in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, especially in healthcare and social services projects.
- The ideal candidate should be familiar with both Agile and Waterfall development approaches and have strong skills in understanding and analyzing business and technical requirements.
- The primary responsibilities include conducting Functional End-to-End Testing, Data Conversion Testing, ETL Testing, Integration Testing, and System Testing.
- The role also involves reviewing requirements, creating and maintaining a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure full test coverage, and participating in all phases of testing, such as test planning, writing test cases, setting up test data, executing tests, and managing defects.
- We are looking for someone detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to communicate and work well with both technical teams and business users to help deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure complete test coverage for all functional requirements.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct gap analysis and assess the feasibility of project requirements.
- Analyze production incidents to determine root causes and evaluate the defect resolution approach.
- Perform incident triage as part of the defect management and resolution process.
- Design test scenarios, test cases, and execute them to validate functionality.
- Experienced in various testing methodologies, including Interface Testing, Web-Based Testing, Smoke Testing, Black Box and White Box Testing, Functional, Integration, Regression, Ad-hoc, End-to-End, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across Client-Server, Multi-tier, and Web-based environments.
- Prepare and distribute test execution summaries and test result reports to stakeholders.
- Review and validate test results within the Test Management Tool, ensuring proper defect linkage to corresponding test cases for clear traceability.
- Participate in defect triage meetings to assess severity, prioritize issues, and coordinate resolution efforts.
- Manage test cases, requirements, test execution, reporting, and defect tracking in JIRA XRay.
- Conduct regression testing for new builds and bug fixes to ensure system stability.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with onshore and offshore teams, as well as UAT teams and business stakeholders.
- Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by offering application walkthroughs and demonstrations to testers and business users.
Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
- Strong Technical expertise in Operating Systems like MS Windows, all versions, Databases like SQL Server 2005, 2008,2012, Web Technologies like HTML, XML, and Tools / Products like JIRA - Defect Tracking and Management
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the Health and Human Services and Social programs domain
- Worked with public sector clients
Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education.
The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
