SHORT DESCRIPTION:
The Support Engineer will be responsible for providing production and UAT support along with enhancements and defect fixes.
Work location: Hong Kong
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Production and UAT applications/job monitoring and Support
    • Monitor alerts from systems, respond to user queries and messages
    • Resolve production incidents and communicate to users and stakeholders
    • Analyze issues by checking the logs, databases, alerts and provide stopgap and permanent solutions as needed as per SLAs.
  • Enhancement and defect fixes on Production and UAT applications as part of problem management
    • Fix recurrent issues and improvise monitoring mechanisms.
    • Enhance systems to reduce repetitive activities and improve observabilities
    • Provide fixes to defects and work on enhancements as prioritized
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain runbooks, documentation, diagrams, configurations, and procedures
    • Generate reports as requested
  • Collaboration and Support
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to support business initiatives
    • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior staff members
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years proven experience in production support activities.
  • Minimum 4+ years development experience in Java, Spring boot, SQL and related technologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders clearly
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Willingness to adapt to support shift timings
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Must Have:
  • Java, Spring boot, SQL and Unix experience
  • Production support experience
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin Chinese/ Cantonese
