Infosys Public Services is seeking a State Health PMO Lead, to join our Team.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
Project Management & Governance:

  • Enforce project governance standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Maintain and update project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure they align with contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal IT regulations.
Operational Assistance:
  • Assist the operation teams with the maintenance, support, and enhancement activities for the Integrated Eligibility System.
  • Lead the PMO team in collaborating with IT teams to manage system upgrades, patches, and performance optimization.
  • Track and report service level agreements (SLAs) to help operational teams stay on track.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.

  • As the primary liaison between state agencies, business units, IT teams, and third-party vendors for status meetings, status reports, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies. Collaborate with operations leads and service leads to be one voice to the client.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Facilitate executive reporting and status updates for agency leadership.
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure the smooth adoption of system enhancements.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement:
  • Lead and mentor the PMO team.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to optimize the project status/progress.
  • Follow the client hybrid (Agile and/or Waterfall) project management methodologies as needed.
Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:
  • 7+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a PMO.
  • Expertise in PMO frameworks, governance, and IT service management (ITIL preferred).
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification preferred
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong experience in integrated eligibility systems, health & human services programs, or public sector IT projects.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale M&O engagements in a government environment.
  • Prior experience working with state government agencies on IT transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with eligibility determination systems, Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, or other public benefits programs.
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance in government IT environments.
Educational Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education.
The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
