Infosys is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Vancouver / Burnaby, British Columbia or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

  • At least 7+ Years of experience in Information Technology working in a software product development for building modern and scalable web applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of website design and back-end programming.
  • At least 7+ years of professional experience with Java + RDBMS/NoSQL (Databases), Spring framework with Spring MVC, Spring JPA, Spring Security, Microservices and Spring boot.
  • 7+ years of experience in designing, implementing, hosting, and debugging RESTful API Web services with Micro services development using spring boot.
  • Experience building highly performing, high volume low latency secure RESTful micro-services.
  • Java design and development experience using Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Core Java with Collections, Lambda and Concurrency.
  • Knowledge on WebObjects is an added advantage.
  • Develop new features and Junit test cases.
  • Experience working on one of DB technologies, writing queries etc. - Oracle, MySQL, PL/SQL or Postgres.
  • Knowledge on WebObjects is an added advantage.
  • Passionate about learning new technologies and enjoy a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with translating business use cases to technical solutions, user interface design and database structures.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs.

Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
British Columbia: $ 81575 to $ 116670
