Infosys is seeking a Solution Architect.
This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Tampa, FL or Irving, TX, Jersey City, NJ or New Castle, DEor be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Experience inJava, Spring Boot and microservices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture, system design, and enterprise application development.
  • Proven experience in designing end-to-end solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into functional architecture.
  • Proficient in Java SE and Java EE.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native application development and deployment.
  • Proficient in using Docker for containerization.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with enterprise messaging systems like IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and Solace.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases like Oracle.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Deep understanding of architectural principles and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in applying SOLID principles and other best practices in software design.
  • Proven experience in modernizing legacy systems and integrating new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of AI and ML technologies and their application in enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Design: Architect comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements using a combination of technologies, including Java, cloud services, and middleware.
  • Cloud Integration: Design and implement solutions on cloud platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Legacy Modernization: Lead initiatives to modernize legacy systems, integrating new technologies to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Technology Stack Development: Utilize Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to build robust applications.
  • Containerization: Implement containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for efficient deployment and scalability.
  • Messaging Systems Integration: Integrate messaging systems like IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and Solace into enterprise architectures.
  • Database Architecture: Design and manage both relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Architectural Principles Application: Apply architectural principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles to develop high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and other architects to define system requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Optional: Explore and integrate AI and ML technologies to enhance solution capabilities.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
