Senior Principal Consultant - IT Infrastructure (Cloud, Data Centers, Networks) - Infosys Consulting As a Senior Principal Consultant specializing in IT Infrastructure, you will lead and manage multiple high-impact, complex projects that involve designing, implementing, and optimizing corporate IT infrastructure environments. These environments include cloud services, data centers, network systems, end-user management systems, cybersecurity, and more. You will provide strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and ensure the security and resilience of IT processes, operations, and systems. Strategic IT Leadership:

  • Provide vision and leadership to several IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and long-term IT roadmap.
  • Develop and communicate strategic roadmaps for IT transformation, focusing on infrastructure optimization, operational efficiency, robust security measures, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with C-level executives to define and execute IT infrastructure strategies that support business growth, transformation, and resilience. .
  • Lead the development and execution of IT strategies during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless separation or integration and realization of synergies.

  • Drive IT M&A consulting business development and sales initiatives, leading the creation of proposal and effective solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive execution plans, detailed cost estimates, and risk assessments to ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct comprehensive market and client research to identify trends, informed business growth strategies and position Infosys consulting as leader in IT Infrastructure consulting space.
IT Infrastructure Management:
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and resilient IT infrastructure, including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), data centers, and network systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and network systems for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Guide the migration and optimization of data centers and cloud services for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement strategies for corporate IT services including Service Desk, End User Compute (EUX), and Identity management (AD, AAD) to enhance user experience.
IT Operations Excellence:
  • Implement advanced IT operational frameworks and best practices (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
  • Lead transitions and transformations of IT services during large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure high standards of performance and reliability in IT operations, including Service Desk and Network Operations Center (NOC).
IT Security Governance:
  • Establish and enforce comprehensive IT security policies and standards to protect critical information assets.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Cloud and Data Center Strategy:
  • Design and implement advanced cloud strategies (public, private, hybrid) that align with business goals, scalability needs, and cost optimization.
  • Enhance data center operations, including capacity planning, disaster recovery (DR) strategies, and high availability configurations.
  • Optimize performance using advanced automation tools and orchestration platforms (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored IT solutions.
  • Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to client executives in a clear and concise manner.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders through complex IT transformation processes.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor senior project teams, ensuring clear communication, effective collaboration, and timely delivery of milestones.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among team members.
Project / Program Management:
  • Oversee complex project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure goals and timelines are met.
  • Implement and monitor advanced key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project success, including uptime, incident resolution time, and cost savings.
Thought Leadership & Practice Development:
  • Collaborate with other service lines to create innovative joint offerings.
  • Share insights through high-impact blogs, white papers, and other thought leadership.
  • Assist in developing cutting-edge IT infrastructure tools and processes.
  • Coach and lead other consultants and actively participate in the performance management process.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 9+ years in IT infrastructure, with significant exposure to IT operations and security.
  • M&A experience is required.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, networks, cloud services).
  • Expertise in IT operations management tools and methodologies (ITIL, COBIT).
  • Knowledge of IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM). .
  • Ability to travel up to 100%.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Functional expertise in finance, human resources, supply chain, and IT.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications are desirable but not required.
