Location: - Sydney
Status - 6 months fixed term, extendable based on project requirement

JOB DESCRIPTION: -
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to be a key coordinator for a complex Enterprise Cloud Migration (ECM) program , overseeing the execution of a large-scale, cross-functional project. In this role, you will manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring the timely delivery of all project goals while maintaining a strong focus on governance, communication, resource management, and financial tracking.
- Develop and maintain essential project governance documents and artefacts.
- Regularly update project schedules, monitoring milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables.
- Track project performance and success metrics, reporting on KPIs to key stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings, including Business Reviews and Agile ceremonies, to ensure progress.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure smooth execution and alignment across teams.
- Track and manage risks, issues, and action items throughout the project.
- Ensure project activities comply with organizational policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external partners (vendors, consultants, etc.).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for issue resolution, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of any challenges.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of critical project documentation, such as migration plans, architectural designs, and test plans.
- Ensure completion of post-project documentation, including operational guides and lessons learned.
- Assist in onboarding new team members and managing resource allocation for each phase of the project.
- Collaborate with resource managers to oversee contractors and external vendors.
- Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of required resources and services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of change management strategies.
- Collaborate with training teams to coordinate training sessions and knowledge transfer.
- Support the creation of user guides and reference materials to assist users post-project.
- Assist in managing project budgets, working with leadership to monitor expenditures.
- Provide regular financial updates and identify areas for cost optimization.
- Ensure the project remains within budget and on track for financial success.
- 10 years' experience in similar projects with at least 4 years as Project Manager
- Financial/Insurance industry experience is preferred, but not mandatory
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from start to finish.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
- Accuracy in project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
- Experience negotiating timelines, contracts, and resources.
- Expertise in managing and optimizing project budgets.
- Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and use data to inform project decisions.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Capable of making quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of MS Office, project management software, and financial tools.
- Ability to pivot and adjust plans based on project changes or challenges.
- Focused and motivated, even in the face of obstacles or setbacks.
