As a Senior Industry Principal, you will lead the efforts for complex engagements management across all stages of the consulting life cycle, problem definition to solution deployment. As an expert in your domain, you will have the opportunity to bring in best practices into architecture definition, solution design and development. You will engage with the client as a trusted advisor, lead change management efforts and provide guidance for large programs across different project teams.

As a thought leader, you will contribute to the industry and branding of the consulting capability of the organization as well as nurture talent. You will drive pre-sales deliverables and increase the footprint of the organization in the client's ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best professionals to lead the creation of value-adding solutions that enable our clients to meet the ever-growing and changing needs of the global landscape.

Key Responsibility Areas:
Delivery & Program Management
  • Take ownership of customer's issues and follow up with various project teams and customer to take problems through to resolution.
  • Apply best practices to areas of improvement and compliance to standards and if required, draft clear guidelines to be followed by project teams to achieve timely delivery of the project:
  • Manage new service opportunities and provide assessment on new service offerings:
  • Mentor team to create high-level process maps and low-level design and documents to share them with appropriate stakeholders:
  • Review and check the dependencies between different processes, release plans for different processes, dependencies on cross-functional teams, and how they should be aligned for ongoing delivery:
  • -Responsible for writing reports to show project tracking and progress to customers and all the stakeholders:
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis:
  • Identify the scope of projects, project dependencies and impacted systems within connected programs:
  • Monitor waves and release burndown charts for all projects in the program and take corrective actions in case of deviations:
  • Mentor people about following best practices and ensure quality planning and processes for the project team.
  • Help team to clarify requirements and create functional specification documents and facilitate them by validating with the help of appropriate stakeholders:
  • Identify gaps in deliverables and prioritize the backlogs:
  • Responsible for strategy, planning and execution of the project and different service lines, including but not limited to gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, defining the roadmap, and working closely with the delivery teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met:
  • Develop expertise areas (especially horizontals) into solutions with a playbook (sales and execution), identified SMEs and locations, pricing solutions and engagement models;
  • Collaborate with various participating organizations as there may be some areas of overlap;
  • Define best practices and create appropriate window of learning by creating relevant artifacts and insights by means of dashboards.
Organization Growth
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction;
  • Create a central Pre-Sales organization providing Sales as a single window into all Infosys assets and expertise areas.
  • Ensure the right expertise is applied to deal pursuits by identifying and making available the right SMEs from different Infosys organizations.
  • Provide advisory and consultative selling expertise for strategic deals.
  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Account mining for cross selling/up-selling opportunities.
  • Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives.
Partner Management
  • Managing Partner relationships (Contracts, SOW, SLAs, etc.):
  • Communication with clients, including client's strategic partnership:
  • Develop a lasting relationship with clients
People Management
  • Monitor the performance of each team member from different geographies against strategic targets and provide mentoring or training, if necessary
  • Conduct talent appraisals for direct reports and mentor/guide them for conducting their appraisals with indirect reports. Approve/disapprove leaves/vacations of employees
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with employees; provide feedback, understand their concerns, build their grooming, trainings, and career plans;
  • Ensure that team members have access to the resources they need to complete project in timely manner
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • Minimum 16 years of relevant experience

  • Strong knowledge of Multiple Vendor's Applications
  • Leadership capability with a positive attitude and work under stressful situations
  • Assertive when necessary and Open to constructive criticism

  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn and teach
This position may require extensive travel
