Infosys is seeking a Senior Devops Lead . In this role, y ou will enable automated deployments by creating CI/CD pipelines for the integration pipelines for our clients in a global delivery model, research on new technologies independently, recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. Y ou will be responsible to interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency in creating designs and solutions for pipeline creations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Harness pipelines using YAML for DAG publishing to Airflow, Terraform deployments, and Python scripts.

  • Customize and optimize YAML configurations to enhance pipeline performance and reliability.
  • Configure and manage multiple environments (e.g., development, staging, production) within Harness, handling environment-specific configurations and variables.
  • Diagnose and resolve CI/CD failures within Harness pipelines, employing strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Document pipeline configurations, processes, and best practices for team reference, maintaining clear and concise documentation in collaboration tools like Confluence.
  • Creating and reviewing pull requests, providing constructive feedback, and conducting thorough code reviews.
  • Resolve merge conflicts effectively, utilizing tools and commands for conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using GitHub, leveraging GitHub Issues and Projects for task management.
  • Integrate GitHub with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and set up automated workflows for testing and deployment.
  • Manage repository settings, permissions, and access controls, and maintain README files and project documentation.
  • Understand GitHub security features (e.g., branch protection rules, secret scanning) and manage sensitive information and access controls.
  • Write scripts for automating Git operations and utilize GitHub CLI for command-line operations.
  • Automate Terraform deployments using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and implement automated testing for Terraform configurations.
  • Document Terraform configurations, workflows, and best practices for team reference, maintaining clear README files for Terraform projects.
  • Proactively troubleshoot CI/CD failures in Airflow and Harness, implementing solutions to enhance system reliability.
  • Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms to identify issues before they impact operations.
  • Document all CI/CD processes, deployment configurations, and environment setups comprehensively.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
    • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Irvine, CA or be willing to relocate to the area.

    • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
    • At least 3 years of experience as DevOps professional in creating CI/CD pipelines
    • Proven experience in a senior DevOps or platform support role with a strong focus on hands-on implementation.
    • Expertise in AWS, Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD practices, including YAML writing for pipeline configurations.
    • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and their integration with cloud services.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL processes
    • Good understanding of Agile software development frameworks
    • Experience in Banking domain
    • Strong communication and Analytical skills
    • Ability to work in teams in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment comprising of Business and Technology teams
    • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment
    The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
