Role - Senior Devops
Location - Sydney, Australia
Salary range: AUD 108,571- 119,893(Annual Gross)

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to design, deploy, automate, maintain, support assets and the underlying platform built on cloud technologies with minimum 5 years of experience. The cloud engineering team must be able to architect and analyse potential risks of solutions against requirements and ensure security and compliance by design. Working closely with a team lead and customer stakeholders to provide high levels of availability, security, performance, reliability for product assets and/or platform services built on Cloud technologies.

Your role
  • Design and develop secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures on AWS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, operations teams, and business users, to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Select appropriate AWS services based on specific needs and best practices.
  • Migrate on-premises workloads to the AWS cloud.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools like AWS CloudFormation and AWS CloudTrail.
  • Implement security best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud resources.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Stay up to date on the latest AWS services and technologies.
  • Document cloud architectures and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues.
  • Understanding of automation and configuration management. (Ansible, CFN-Init & Terraform)
  • Experience and skills in programming/scripting languages (Python, PowerShell & Bash)
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud computing or system administration.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying cloud solutions on AWS.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and Lambda.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Good to have knowledge on DevOps methodologies.
  • Good to have knowledge on containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud security best practices.
