Senior Consultant-Healthcare Payer Interoperability

Infosys Consulting is seeking talented and highly motivated Management Consulting professionals to join its growing Healthcare practice at a Senior Consultant level specializing in Healthcare Payer Interoperability.

As a Senior Consultant, you will manage consulting teams in the delivery of strategic programs in the Healthcare industry. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing strategic solutions to enhance interoperability within the healthcare payer domain.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead the implementation and adherence to the CMS interoperability final rule within the healthcare payer organization.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with data exchange standards and interoperability requirements outlined in the CMS regulations.

3. Evaluate and enhance existing systems and processes to support seamless data sharing with patients, providers, and other stakeholders.
4. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of CMS interoperability guidelines, staying abreast of any updates or modifications to ensure ongoing compliance.
5. Design and execute strategic plans for data exchange, focusing on promoting transparency and accessibility of healthcare information.
6. Work closely with IT teams to implement and optimize Health Level Seven (HL7) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards for secure data exchange.
7. Provide expertise in data governance, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of healthcare data.
8. Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to establish effective interoperability solutions and streamline information exchange.
9. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential areas of improvement, addressing gaps in interoperability processes and technology.
10. Educate internal teams on interoperability best practices, compliance requirements, and the implications of the CMS interoperability final rule.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, IT, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in healthcare payer interoperability, specifically aligning with CMS regulations.
3. In-depth knowledge of HL7 and FHIR standards, as well as other relevant interoperability frameworks.
4. Strong understanding of healthcare data privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA.
5. Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other healthcare data repositories.
6. Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
7. Familiarity with healthcare industry trends, emerging technologies, and interoperability advancements.
8. Certifications such as HL7, Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) or Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) would be advantageous.
