Role & Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Conduct workshops and meetings with clients to gather and analyze business requirements related to reporting, analytics, and planning.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for SAC/DataSphere implementations.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Document requirements and create detailed design documents.
- Design and develop SAP SAC models, stories, dashboards, and planning applications.
- Create and optimize data models, including importing and transforming data from various sources.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using SAC's visualization capabilities.
- Implement planning functionalities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation.
- Configure security and user access within SAP SAC.
- Design data architectures and models within SAP DataSphere.
- Develop data integration strategies to connect diverse data sources.
- Plan and implement data governance and security measures.
- Create and maintain data models, virtual tables, and analytical datasets in DataSphere.
- Develop data flows and transformations to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Implement data virtualization and federation capabilities.
- Design and develop SAP BW data models, including InfoCubes, DataStore Objects (DSOs), and MultiProviders.
- Create and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Optimize data models for performance and efficiency.
- Integrate SAP SAC with SAP and non-SAP systems, including SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, and cloud-based data sources.
- Develop and maintain data connections and data flows.
- Integrate SAP DataSphere with SAP and non-SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and cloud platforms.
- Configure and manage data connections and data replication.
- Monitor and optimize DataSphere performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration and performance issues.
- Develop and maintain data extractors and transformations from SAP and non-SAP source systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes.
- Ensure data quality and consistency.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data, performance, and functionality.
- Deploy SAP SAC solutions to production environments.
- Deploy DataSphere solutions and provide post-implementation support.
- Provide post go-live support.
- Develop and deliver training materials and workshops for end-users.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and operational procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP SAC features and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and processes.
- Provide recommendations for optimizing performance and usability.
- Proficiency in SAP SAC development and configuration.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data integration techniques.
- Knowledge of SAP DataSphere functionalities.
- Proficiency in SAP BW modeling and development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of business processes and financial concepts.
- Knowledge of SQL and other database technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like R or Python is a plus.
- Professional experience in Agile Release Management in an Enterprise context
- Understanding of agile and classic development processes and tools
- Solid knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Project management experience
- Technical understanding of complex software projects/products
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The desire to navigate the conflict that comes from a high-growth start-up heritage applied to an Enterprise product with its needs for structure, clarity and predictability
- Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting the process
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
