Infosys is seeking Quality Engineering Consultant. The candidate will have a proven track record in implementing Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality for CNC machine shop. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement projects, facilitate training sessions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Lafayette, IN or be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or foreign equivalent required from accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Min 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, especially on CNC machine shop with a focus on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, Route cause and corrective actions (RCCA), Manufacturing process planning, and Fair knowledge over NC programming.
Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma (Black Belt) is highly preferred.
Analyze current manufacturing processes of the CNC machines and workflows to identify areas of waste, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
Utilize statistical tools and techniques to analyze process data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations for improvement.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of process improvement activities, results, and lessons learned.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure that improvements are integrated into standard operating procedures.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of process improvement initiatives.
Lead and manage process improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
Conduct training sessions on Lean and Six Sigma concepts for employees at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and empowerment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
