Job Overview:

We are seeking a Windows EUC Lead who will oversee the implementation, support, and optimization of Windows-based desktop environments, ensuring that users have a seamless and productive experience. The Windows EUC Lead will manage a team of EUC engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions to end users, including desktop builds, operating system deployment, application packaging, and troubleshooting.

    Lead a team of EUC engineers and support staff, ensuring effective performance, training, and development of team members. Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team.

  • Windows Desktop Management:
    Oversee the management of Windows desktop environments, ensuring operating system deployment, patching, and updates are consistent across the enterprise. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • End-User Support & Troubleshooting:
    Lead efforts in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to Windows-based systems, including hardware, software, and network issues.
  • EUC Strategy & Roadmap:
    Develop and execute the EUC strategy to ensure that the desktop environment aligns with business needs. This includes planning upgrades, managing lifecycle, and improving the user experience.
  • Application Packaging & Deployment:
    Oversee the packaging, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications on Windows desktops. Work with the application owners to ensure that the software is tested, deployed, and updated efficiently.
  • Automation & Scripting:
    Implement automation strategies using PowerShell, Power Platforms, Intune, or other scripting tools to streamline tasks like system deployment, patch management, and application delivery.
  • Collaboration with IT Teams:
    Work closely with other IT departments (network, security, server, etc.) to ensure the Windows desktop environment is fully integrated and compliant with organizational IT policies.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Ensure all processes, configurations, and procedures are properly documented. Provide regular reports on team performance, system health, and incident resolution.
  • User Training & Awareness:
    Provide end-user training on Windows-related systems, troubleshooting techniques, and new features or updates.
  • Vendor Management & Budgeting:
    Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors to ensure the company gets the best value and support. Track costs and work within budget constraints to deliver optimal EUC solutions.

  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Education:
      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience:
      10+ years of experience in End-User Computing (EUC) support or management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience with managing Windows desktop environments is essential.
    • Technical Skills:

      • Deep knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems, configuration management, and desktop deployment.
      • Experience with EUC tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Windows Autopilot, Group Policy, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
      • Familiarity with application packaging and deployment tools (e.g., AdminStudio, Flexera, or similar).
      • Experience with cloud-based solutions like Microsoft 365, OneDrive
      • Experience with Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) is a plus.
      • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management.
    • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:
      Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
    • Leadership & Communication:
      Proven ability to lead and mentor a technical team, with excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Project Management:
      Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Security & Compliance:
      Knowledge of security best practices for managing end-user devices, including patch management, encryption, and antivirus policies.
