Infosys Public Services is currently seeking a Principal Business Development Consultant to join our Team.
Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
- Identify sales opportunities with clients/prospects in the assigned territory.
- Participate in presentations or discussions with clients when required.
- Serve as a consulting account executive, ensuring clients receive the necessary resources and excellent customer service.
- Developing a sales strategy and setting sales targets.
- Identifying marketing opportunities and developing sales leads.
- Assessing potential clients' IT needs and recommending products.
- Preparing and delivering sales pitches and service offering demonstrations.
- Tracking sales targets and documenting sales performance metrics.
- Ensuring competitiveness by analyzing and researching industry trends.
- Engaging in client meetings, understanding business requirements, and coordinating with the internal pre-sales team to create a well-structured proposal.
- Developing strategic consulting services sales plans and carrying them out to completion.
- In addition to providing leadership, principal consultants who know a client's industry participate in deliverables such as market analyses and communication and marketing plans.
- Responsible for offering IT consulting services to prospects and clients.

- Seven years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience in client engagement and consultative selling and developing proposals for the public sector.
- Knowledge of IT Services and US Government RFPs (State & Local) and proposal processes.
- Strong communication skills and experience with proposal development and management.
- Experience in managing clients and sales quotas.
- Ability to explain and demonstrate IT services offerings.
- Proficiency in IT services industry terminology and jargon aligned with Public Sector prospective clients.
- Ability to liaise with management about consulting sales strategies.
- Exceptional ability to negotiate sales deals, contracts, and service agreements.
- Ability to evaluate client feedback and provide after-sales service.
- Good knowledge of consumer behavior, as well as industry trends and innovation.
- Ability to travel for up to 50% of the time.
- This position will focus on the Mid-Atlantic Region of the US; candidates residing in that region are strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.
