Infosys is seeking a PostgreSQL DBA Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding. This position may require travel in the US.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of experience in Database Industry with hands on experience with PostgreSQL or EDB Postgres databases
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to identify customer pain points just not in terms of database specific needs but the overall platform and data needs.
- At least 3 strong relational database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server). Active use or, administration of such database(s)
- Tuning and debugging experience with DB Server, SQL and SQL Query

- Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role
- Design and implement database in accordance to end users' information needs and views
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
- Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
- Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
- Familiarity with the database design, documentation and coding
- Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
- Familiarity with programming languages API
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
