Infosys Public Services is seeking a Network Engineer - Firewall, to join our Team.
Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Firewall Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of our firewall infrastructure, ensuring the robust protection of our IT systems from unauthorized access, attacks, and other security threats. You will leverage your deep understanding of networking protocols, security policies, and firewall technologies to safeguard our critical assets.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Configuration: Design, configure, and implement firewall solutions to protect IT systems and networks from both external and internal threats.
- Security Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Network Monitoring and Threat Detection: Monitor network traffic and security logs to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively address them.
- Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with other IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and security analysts, to ensure the secure integration and operation of all IT systems and applications.
- Incident Response: Participate in incident management and response activities to contain, mitigate, and resolve security incidents.
- Security Assessments: Conduct periodic security assessments to identify and address security gaps and risks, and recommend improvements.
- Technical Support and Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to other IT teams as needed, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports.

- Minimum 4 years of experience in firewall engineering and network security.
- Extensive knowledge of networking protocols and security policies.
- Proven experience with firewall platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, Juniper, Fortigate, and Cisco ASA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, and CCNP are a significant plus.
- Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls and related security technologies such as VPNs, IDS/IPS, and web application firewalls.
- Experience with TUFIN firewall management tool.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, ACL, and DNS, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Deep understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks, and familiarity with security concepts such as risk management, access control, network segmentation, and security policy enforcement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve complex security issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education.
