Role: Lead Consultant
Location: Sydney
Salary: AUD 129311-142018 (Annual Gross)

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork
- Design, configure, and deploy firewalls to protect critical assets and networks.
- Monitor and analyze firewall logs to detect and respond to threats.
- Implement and maintain firewall rules, policies, and configurations according to security requirements.
- Perform risk assessments to identify gaps in firewall and network security.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
- Regularly review and update firewall configurations to address emerging threats
- Design, deploy, and configure F5 Load Balancer solutions, including LTM modules
- Configure and manage traffic distribution across multiple servers to ensure availability and reliability
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Tenable solutions, including Tenable.io and Tenable.sc.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans across the network, endpoints, and applications.
- Analyze scan results and prioritize remediation efforts based on risk levels.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Tenable products and vulnerability management processes.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Manage intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to detect and block malicious activities.
- Work with the networking team to ensure secure interconnectivity between locations and cloud environments.
- Investigate and resolve security incidents and breaches in a timely manner.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to address vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Maintain detailed incident logs and create post-incident reports.

- Decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Report team progress, challenges, and achievements to upper management.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure alignment on tasks and goals.
- Communicate organizational updates and policies to team members effectively
- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Check Point, Palo Alto)
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, BGP).
- Strong understanding of Switching concepts (VLAN, STP etc)
- Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and security analytics.
- Certifications such as CCSA, CISM, CCNA, PA or equivalent.
- Experience with management of firewall and networks
- Experience in Load balancing concepts
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, etc.).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
- SIEM Tools: Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight.
- Security Tools: IDS/IPS, VPN, Endpoint Protection.
- Networking Tools: Wireshark, Nmap, TCPdump.
