Infosys is seeking a Java Full Stack Architect (Cloud). This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical support for analysis of business requirements and applicability to the current or planned platform capabilities & work with delivery leaders/customers to translate business goals into concrete deliverables and timelines. The role holder has to be proactive with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate across multiple disciplines, geographies, and cultures; provide thought leadership; keep up with industry trends; influence strategy based on understanding of ecosystem and market.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX / Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
Must have Skills:
  • Experience in architecting systems/services based on Microservices and APIs with expertise in core Java, Spring Boot, jUNit, knowledge of Streams
  • Experience in developing single page web applications leveraging JavaScript based UI frameworks (at least one - Angular, React, Vue etc)
  • Experience in choosing the best fit SQL/NoSQL Databases, design and development on one or more of the following - PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Couch, Mongo, Redis. Should have SQL knowledge and have the experience writing database scripts using DDL or queries using DML
  • Experience in Architecture, design and implementation of business functionality / applications on Azure cloud platform that leverage the very latest in cloud technologies (PAAS Services) including AKS for Microservice, Kafka or Service Bus, API Management, etc
  • Working knowledge with tools spanning IDEs (Eclipse/VSCode), Source Code Mgmt (Git) coupled with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) tools (at least one - Jenkins, Spinnaker etc)
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in architectural design of high volume data stream / events processing using frameworks like Apache Camel, Spring Integration and eventing platforms like Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow, AMQP (Azure Service bus), Azure Event Hubs
  • Experience with provisioning cloud infra using Infra-As-Code (IaC) tools (at least one - Terraform, AWS CF, Azure ARM, Google Cloud Deployment Manager etc).
  • Conversant with various caching layers like endpoint (reverse proxy), cache aside, read/ write through. Knowledge on caching libraries like Ehcache, Redis.
  • Experience with designing and provisioning a containerized environment/clusters using Kubernetes
  • Experience in designing systems that are operationally ready by setting up enterprise grade monitoring and alerting platforms using either OSS based tech (Fluentd,Prometheus+Grafana/ELK) or Cloud-Native solutions (AWS Cloudwatch, Google StackDriver, Azure Monitor)
  • Experience in planning migration of application and other enterprise workloads into cloud using Re-Host and Re-Platform as strategies
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
