Role Overview: In this role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module, handle validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain multithreaded Java applications, emphasizing fault-tolerant, scalable, and high-volume systems.
  • Serving as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops software applications.
  • Writing code and unit tests, working on API specs, automation, and conducting code reviews and testing.
  • Performing ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement.
  • Build Proof of Concepts and work with the Team Lead in extending concepts to Enterprise Systems.
  • Ability to effectively debug and resolve technical issues and/or defects that may be reported because of faults in the production system.
  • Manage risks and issues as well as cross dependencies with other teams. Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to address technical design and functional gaps.
  • Partner with Leads and other team members to continuously upgrade applications/platforms as per industry standards and Technology stack latest offerings
  • Harness the opportunities to build Intellectual Property within the team and for the enterprise.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Java Backend Developer (3+ years) or similar and strong proficiency in Java programming language (Java 8+)
  • Knowledge and experience with Spring framework, and Spring Boot in particular
  • Proven experience in Java development, including Hibernate
  • Proficiency in relational databases, MySQL preferably, but also Oracle or MS SQL
  • Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and design principles
  • Familiarity with Linux environments
  • Communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
