Senior Principal - OTC Derivative

The Senior Principal Consultant role is within the Infosys Consulting unit in the Financial Services vertical of Infosys. The Infosys Consulting unit focuses on partnering with senior business and technology stakeholders of our clients to help craft and execute their strategy.
You will lead a cross-cultural global team working on a variety of business consulting engagements in Capital Markets, with a focus on OTC derivatives, products implementation. Your team will comprise of industry practitioners, subject matter experts, functional consultants and transformation leaders working with various financial institutions.

You will guide the team, analyze problems and come up with solutions, often creative and out-of-the-box, apply business consulting frameworks and methodologies to address business problems, collaborate with client stakeholders, technology delivery teams and other vendors and be responsible for the delivery of business results to clients.

About the Role

As a Senior Principal, you will assist in the leadership and delivery of engagements. You will build on your experience designing and executing transformation programs. You will collaborate and interface with client counterparts on a daily basis. You will also be involved in branding, thought leadership and knowledge management efforts with the objective of providing value-adding consulting services that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Responsibilities include:

Project Execution
  • Collaborate with client counterparts to define long-term vision, goals and strategies
  • Contribute to the design and development of client future processes and organizations with corresponding transformation roadmaps
  • Conduct requirements workshops with a team of global IT professional & subject matter experts, translating those requirements into actionable project initiatives w/associated metrics
  • Solution targeted processes, leveraging best practices
  • Solution and document functional specifications
  • Define, execute, and support testing of the solution
  • Perform knowledge transfer to client and supporting organizations throughout all phases of the project.
  • Support management of project execution from start-to-finish in order to deliver according to plan (scope, quality and time).
  • Coach and develop team members to deliver quality results and promote professional development.
People Development
  • Mentor and coach team members through formal, performance evaluation methods and informal, individual feedback opportunities
  • Collaborate and share knowledge
Practice Development
  • Contribute to practice growth through recruitment, training and retention
  • Provide insight and thought leadership to develop innovative assets, including differentiated points of view and methodologies
Role Expects You To
  • Lead engagements at Financial Services firms to address some of the pressing issues faced in the industry related to Capital Market with a focus on Derivative processing
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define technology strategy and roadmap, create work plans, define business requirements, analyze data needs and drive complex programs.
  • Lead client and engagement teams in successfully implementing products such as Murex, Calypso and similar.
  • Provide leadership and mentor junior consultants in the engagement team.
  • Collaborate with other streams including technology delivery streams across Infosys to deliver a compelling value proposition to the client.
  • Manage and minimize engagement risk by proactively identifying issues and recommended courses of remediation.
  • Build client relationships towards expanding the footprint within the client organization

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in Financial Services with at least 10 years of experience in delivering programs in Capital Markets domain.
  • Experience with a business consulting organization.
  • Understanding of Swaps Trading Lifecyle. Knowledge of Swap Products : Equities, IRS, OTC, and Portfolio Swaps
  • Exposure to Cash and Synthetic Prime Brokerage, and Front office Trade booking
  • Advanced presentation and interviewing skills with experience facilitating meetings and leading workshops.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to write Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and PowerPoint presentations.

Estimated annual compensation will be 157500 to 192500.
